Don’t worry. You’ll still be able to find Bazkari’s “very special rice” and the chicken pie at the cart on Monument Square every Wednesday until the end of October.

But Ana and Ben O’Connell are also turning their attention toward their catering business. Last Friday, they invited their regulars and some of the city’s food lovers to a private tasting at their home on Munjoy Hill to give them the chance to sample the Bazkari Catering menu.

The menus includes hors d’oeuvres such as traditional chicken and bechamel fritters with Serrano ham and all-natural chicken, and entrees such as sweet piquillo peppers stuffed with tuna, tomato and carrot with bechamel.

“It’s totally different from what we have on our cart, with the exception of gazpacho,” Ben O’Connell said. “But it’s mostly traditional Spanish cuisine.”
