PORTLAND — Six gubernatorial candidates, or their representatives, will be at the Woodfords Club, 179 Woodford St., on Friday, Oct., 1 for a candidates night.
The event is sponsored by Maine Successful Thinkers and is open to the public, with a suggested donation of $5. A dinner beforehand costs $10.
According to the event organizers, campaign staff for independent candidates Shawn Moody, Kevin Scott, Eliot Cutler and John Jenkins, Democratic candidate Libby Mitchell and Republican Paul LePage have responded and confirmed that either the candidate or a surrogate will attend.
