FALMOUTH — Stephanie Gallagher scored on an assist by Emily Mitchell 14 minutes into the second half to break a 1-1 tie and lift York to a 2-1 victory over Falmouth in a Western Maine Conference girls’ soccer game Tuesday night.

Colleen Tourigney scored to give the Wildcats (9-1) a 1-0 lead 15 minutes into the match. Jessica Diphilippo, from Angela Mallis, tied it 12 minutes later for the Yachtsmen (6-4).

 

GREELY 4, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Sammi Toorish had three goals as Greely (7-3) shut out Cape Elizabeth (4-4-1) at Cumberland.

Kelly Burrell added the fourth goal and had two assists and Lindsey Arsenault made 12 saves.

Cape goalie Lexie Weatherbie had 10 saves.

WESTBROOK 4, PORTLAND 0: Lauren Blais had two second-half goals and Vanessa Bradbury added a goal and an assist as the Blue Blazes (3-7) downed the visiting Bulldogs (0-10).

Goalie Esta Harman stopped 15 shots for Portland.

 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 4, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Sam Nardone scored two goals to help Fryeburg Academy (2-10) defeat Traip Academy (1-8) at Fryeburg.

Nardone and Kallie Moulton scored in the first half for the Raiders. Traip’s Carly O’Brien scored 5:36 into the second half, but Nardone countered four minutes later. Sarah Welch added the final score for the Raiders.

Maggie McConkey made 15 saves for Fryeburg. Traip goalie Elaine Macomber had 24 saves.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 5, LAKE REGION 2: Emily Lane scored two of her three goals during the first half to lead Sacopee Valley (8-1-1) past the Lakers (3-7) at Naples.

Amy Adams scored early in the second half to give the Hawks a 3-1 lead. Maeve Downey also scored for Sacopee.

Theresa had two goals for Lake Region.

BRUNSWICK 2, MT. ARARAT 0: Dakota Foster scored late in the first half and Becky Champagne added a goal early in the second for the Dragons (10-0) against the Eagles (6-3) at Topsham.

Shauna Williams stopped 11 shots for the Eagles.

 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 2, WAYNFLETE 1: Michaela Despins scored in the first half and Julia Martell early in the second as the Patriots (4-4-2) beat Waynflete (4-3-1) at Gray.

Ella Millard scored for the Flyers on a breakaway with 13:16 left.

WINSLOW 3, MEDOMAK VALLEY 1: Alliyah Veilleux had two goals for the Black Raiders (7-2-1) against the Panthers (7-4) at Waldoboro.

MORSE 3, OXFORD HILLS 0: Katie Henrikson, Emily Howell and Tori Field scored to lead the Shipbuilders (7-2-1) to a win at Bath.

GREELY 1, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Ceci Hodgkins scored early in the first half and the Rangers (8-4) held off the Capers (6-6-1) at Cape Elizabeth.

Maggie Bowers (one save) and Hannah McCord (two saves) each played a half for Greely. Julianne Ayers stopped six shots for Cape.

 

NYA 2, FALMOUTH 0: Katherine Millett had two goals and Mariah Farrell stopped three shots as the visiting Panthers (12-1) shut out the Yachtsmen (4-9).

Kelsey Freedman made 16 saves for Falmouth.

YORK 4, YARMOUTH 0: Shelby Spencer scored 1:18 into the game and Catie Keenan made it 2-0 11/2 minutes later as the Wildcats (12-1) took control against Yarmouth (0-10-1) at York.

Hannah Keating added a goal late in the first before Keenan converted an assist from Keating early in the second half.

 

OLD ORCHARD 2, FREEPORT 1: The Seagulls (4-9) scored twice in the second half to beat the Falcons (6-6) at Old Orchard Beach.

Daphne Allen scored unassisted and, along with Jamie Crowley, helped set up Taylor Mezoian for the second goal following a corner play.

BRUNSWICK 5, MORSE 1: Kyia Jensen scored two goals to lead the Dragons (7-6) over the Shipbuilders (0-11) at Brunswick.

Aysia McCloud scored and Alice Steinquist made 18 saves for Morse.

 

SACOPEE VALLEY 5, TRAIP ACADEMY 1: Justine Ruhlin had two goals as the Hawks (9-3) handled the Rangers (2-10) at Kittery.

Danielle Pierce, Allison Allard and Maya Richmond also scored for the Hawks, who led 4-1 at halftime. Ashley Pingree made nine saves.

NOKOMIS 3, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Marissa Shaw had a goal and an assist to lead the Warriors (9-2) past Camden Hills (6-5) at Newport.
