LEWISTON – Bassist Richard Hartshorne and pianist Chiharu Naruse will join the DaPonte String Quartet in performance at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Olin Arts Center Concert Hall at Bates College, 75 Russell St.
The program includes Dvorak’s quartet No. 12 in F major (“American”) and Schubert’s piano quintet in A major (“Trout”). Admission is free, but tickets are required. Call 786-6135 or e-mail olinarts@bates.edu.

Naruse is a member of the applied music faculties at Bates, the University of Maine at Farmington, the Portland Conservatory of Music and Bay Chamber School.
Hartshorne performed with the Apple Hill Chamber Players for 30 years.
