AUBURN — A Pepsi bottling plant in Auburn has closed down, putting 23 people out of work.

A Pepsico spokesman tells WMTW-TV that the company closed its bottling operations on Monday, but that another 86 sales and warehouse employees will continue to work out of the facility.

The business first began in the 1920s as Seltzer and Rydholm and was sold to Pepsi in 2004.
