South Portland Board of Education Incumbents Richard Carter, 48, retail store manager, and Sara Goldberg, 49, a doctor’s office manager, ran unopposed in District 1 and District 2 and were elected.
There were no candidates for District 3, although Richard Matthews, 44, a stay-at-home father and co-president of the Brown Elementary Parent Teacher Association, emerged as a write-in.
