A large, expected write-in campaign for School Board will keep Cape Elizabeth officials from counting all the local ballots until Wednesday, Town Manager Michael McGovern said today.

State results will be tallied this evening.

Kimberly Monaghan-Derrig is the sole candidate on the ballot for School Board, while Michael Moore and Frederic Sturtevant are campaigning as write-in candidates.

Two seats are open this year, and town officials are expecting between 1,000 and 2,000 write-in votes, McGovern said.

Also delayed until tomorrow will be the results for two town council positions, McGovern said.
