SCARBOROUGH — Republican Heather Sirocki defeated Democrat Brian M. Dell’Olio in the race for the open seat in House District 128.
Sirocki got 2,511 votes, Dell’Olio 2,165.
Dell’Olio hoped to address economic and job growth in the state through easing the pressure on small businesses by cutting red tape. Sirocki said she wanted to represent the “common man” after being disappointed in the leadership that has brought a budget shortfall and added to the state’s debt.
