Bowdoin hosting US women’s Select hockey team

Bowdoin College will host the United States Women’s Select Hockey Team this week as they prepare for the 2010 Four Nations Cup. Scarborough 5K Saturday

St. Joe’s hosting shooting clinic

Furbush holding pitching class at Frozen Ropes

Former South Portland High School standout and current professional baseball player Charlie Furbush will conduct a pitching class for ages 8 to 12 at Frozen Ropes on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The cost is $30 for members, $40 for non-members. November offerings at Casco Bay Sports

Casco Bay Sports is holding several leagues this fall. A Sunday night co-ed basketball league begins Nov. 14 at the East End Community Center. Wednesday co-ed dodgeball begins Nov 17. Sunday night co-ed indoor soccer starts Nov. 21. Tuesday and Thursday dodgeball gets underway Not. 29. An indoor softball league on Wednesday evenings beginning Dec. 1 at YourSpace in Gorham. Winter sessions begin at Maine Premier Lacrosse

Open registration for boys and girls high school winter sessions at Maine Premier Lacrosse, held at the Portland Sports Complex, is underway. Girls in 11th and 12th grade go Thursdays from 4 to 5 p.m. Ninth and 10th grade girls’ sessions are Sundays from 4 to 5 p.m. Boys in 9th to 12th grades go Sundays.
