PORTLAND — A Cumberland County grand jury Thursday indicted a man charged in a Portland robbery spree this summer that allegedly involved being doused with hot coffee while trying to steal a McDonald’s cash register.
Paul Schlosser, 25, of Standish was indicted on charges of three counts of robbery stemming from what police said was an early morning crime spree Aug. 26.
Schlosser was accused of a knifepoint robbery at the Pine Street Cumberland Farms, a robbery attempt at the Circle K on Commercial Street and finally an attempt at the McDonald’s on St. John Street where a clerk doused him with hot coffee.
He was captured by police moments later.
Police said Schlosser had been arrested 30 times in the previous five years, including for burglary and theft.
