AUGUSTA — Gov. John Baldacci has announced two nominations to the Maine District Court.
Christine Foster of Portland was nominated Tuesday for reappointment to her judicial post. Foster was first appointed in 1996. Before that, she was an assistant attorney general for seven years.
Baldacci also nominated Bruce Mallonee of Bangor for a new appointment to the bench. Mallonee has been a trial lawyer in Bangor for 30 years, concentrating in family and criminal law. He is a former director for Downeast Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Bangor Education Foundation.
The nominations are subject to confirmation votes by the Senate.
