JOHN CARIANI’S new play at Portland Stage Company, “Last Gas,” is getting good reviews. It’s about a convenience store manager in northern Maine who struggles with his unfilled desires.

ART AT WORK and artist Katarina Weslien present “LINES Portland,” an exhibition of prints based on the road repair lines made by the public services crews in Portland. The exhibition represents a convergence between the invisible labor of running a city and an artist’s eye.
