ORONO – Missy Denk and Danielle Ward scored 16 seconds apart midway through the third period as the University of Maine rallied for a 2-2 tie with Northeastern in a women’s hockey game Friday afternoon.
Brittany Ott made 29 saves for Maine (4-6-2, 0-2-2 WHEA). Northeastern is 7-2-4, 1-1-3.

UM-FORT KENT 7, SUNY-CANTON 0: Whitney Sinclair had three goals and three assists as the top-seeded Bengals (18-2) routed the fourth-ranked Roos (6-10) in a Sunrise Conference semifinal at Scarborough.
The Bengals will play UM-Presque Isle (9-2, 12-3), which beat UM-Machias 1-0 in the other semifinal, in the final today at 1 p.m.
Theresa Biggs and Donike Ferreira had a goal and an assist, Victoria Iredale-Dubois and Jen Colpitts also scored and Liz Morneault made three saves for the Bengals.

APPRENTICE SCHOOL 84, SOUTHERN MAINE C.C. 52: Danita Whitaker scored 21 points as the Apprentice School handled the Seawolves at South Portland.
Christina Ricci and Ariel LeDuc each scored 14 points for the Seawolves.
