SCARBOROUGH — A New Hampshire-based company hopes to bring a series of country music shows to Scarborough Downs next year.
Good Music Productions is planning to put on as many as five concerts between June 1 and Oct. 1. The performers and shows have not yet been confirmed.
Each event would have an audience capacity of 15,000. Reserved seating will be set up in an open space to the west of the racetrack.
One of the principals, Mike Flanagin of New England Country Music Productions, has produced shows in regional venues including Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
On Wednesday, the Town Council is expected to consider Good Music Productions’ mass gathering permit application for its first show.
