BANGOR — The Bangor International Airport says passenger traffic was up 19 percent in October compared to a year ago.

Airport Director Rebecca Hupp says nearly 39,000 passengers flew in and out of the airport during the month. She attributes the increase to airlines adding capacity to planes flying to and from Bangor.

Hupp says Bangor’s numbers are in line with airport passenger counts nationwide that have been growing slowly in recent months.
