The Portland and Deering Alumni and Friends Dance will be held from 8 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Italian Heritage Center in Portland. The dance is open to anyone 21 or older and serves as a fundraiser for the athletic programs at both high schools. The musical group Color Blind will perform. The Burn off the Turkey 5K road race will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Gorham Municipal Center. The entry fee is $15, with proceeds benefiting New Year Gorham and Gorham Recreation programs and activities.
