GEORGE CLINTON and Parliament Funkadelic basically put the word “funk” in our musical vocabulary, influencing a whole slew of musicians starting back in the early 1970s and providing samples to hip-hop songs for almost as long. P-Funk’s lineup is ever-changing, but Clinton is always at the helm.
