AUGUSTA — A rescheduled meeting about the future of parks and public lands in the western mountains region of Maine will be held this week in Farmington.
A meeting scheduled for last week was postponed due to snow.
The state Bureau of Parks and Lands says the public’s invited Tuesday evening to comment on a plan that will guide the bureau’s management of state parks and public lands for the next 15 years in the region, which includes the Rangeley Lakes area and the rugged, mountainous Mahoosuc region.
BPL-managed parks and lands in the plan include Rangeley Lake State Park, Bald Mountain in Oquossoc, Richardson Lakes Public Lands, Four Ponds Public Lands, Grafton Notch State Park and Mahoosuc Public Lands.
