GUILFORD – A 49-year-old Maine woman is going to New York City where she will compete in a national toilet paper competition.

Jenny Haskell of Sangerville,is one of five finalists in Charmin toilet paper’s “Enjoy the Go” contest. Haskell will fly to New York next week and compete against four other finalists in contests that involve toilet paper trivia, wrapping a friend in toilet paper like a mummy and stacking toilet paper rolls.

The winner gets $50,000 and a New Year Eve’s celebration in the Big Apple.

The Bangor Daily News said Haskell won the state competition by telling the world why she liked Charmin while standing in front of her camp’s outhouse.

She donated half of the $500 cash prize to the Piscataquis Santa Project to help needy children.
