A time to feast, French-style

CELEBRATE NEW YEAR’S EVE a night early at the Fin du Diner 2010 Annees, a Franco-American dinner like the stuff Chef James Tranchemontagne grew up on right here in Maine. This traditional, family-style dinner will include a selection of cheese, oysters, salad, bread, tourtiere, roast chicken, roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, mashed carrots and turnips, plus desserts.

WHEN: First seating 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.; second seating 7:30 to 8 p.m. today

TASTE SOME sparkling wines at the Grace Wine Revolution, a monthly wine club that meets at the restaurant Grace. Also on the menu will be some wines from Fess Parker. Barney Schneider of Optimus Imports will be the guest speaker.
