Fast and Female is preparing to host its third annual U.S. Cross Country Ski Festival, and after two years in Anchorage, Alaska, the event will be held on Jan. 9 at Gould Academy in Bethel.

Female cross-country skiers and biathletes between the ages of 9 to 19 will participate in ski drills, a healthy lunch, an inspirational presentation, yoga and dancing led by Olympians and current U.S. Cross-Country Ski Team athletes Caitlin Compton, Morgan Arritola, Liz Stephen and Holly Brooks.

Founded in 2005 by Olympic gold medalist Chandra Crawford, Fast and Female is a nonprofit organization based in Canmore, Canada, and dedicated to the empowerment of young women through sport.

The registration fee for the event is $25. All abilities are welcome.
