JACKMAN — Maine State Police say a kindergarten teacher faces charges after child pornography was found during a search of his computer.

Police say 41-year-old Rob Mocarsky of Jackman made his initial court appearance in Somerset County Superior Court on Friday, a day after his arrest. A judge set bail at $10,000 cash, or $100,000 in property.

Detectives and members of the State Police Computer Crimes Unit searched Mocarsky’s computer and found dozens of images of children, including some of his students at the Forest Hills School. A state police spokesman says it’s unclear whether the photos of students were among the child pornography.

Before taking the job in Jackman in 2002, Mocarsky worked at Stockholm Elementary School, Mount Desert Elementary School and the now-closed Longfellow School on Cranberry Isle.
