GORHAM — South Portland rallied from a three-point deficit in the final period to defeat Gorham 53-47 Tuesday night in an SMAA girls’ basketball game.

The Red Riots (9-4) were 8 of 10 from the foul line in the fourth, with Abby Hasson going 5 for 6. She was 9 for 12 at the line for the game.

Danielle DiBiase paced South Portland with 14 points. Danica Gleason and Hasson each scored 11.

Mia Rapolla led the Rams (9-2) with 18 points.

 

SCARBOROUGH 60, WINDHAM 49: Taylor LeBorgne sank five free throws and Mo Hannan and Brittany Bona each made four as the Red Storm (3-9) went 14 for 18 from the line during the fourth period to put away Windham (7-4) at Scarborough.

Hannan finished with 21 points, Bona had 16 points and 10 rebounds, and LeBorgne’s 10 steals keyed the defense.

Meghan Gribbin scored 19 for the Eagles.

 

WAYNFLETE 52, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 39: Martha Veroneau had 15 of her 24 points in the second half to power the Flyers (10-3) past the Lions (6-5) at Portland.

Lydia Stegemann scored 18 and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Flyers.

The Lions were paced by Suzie Gonzalez with 20 points.

HEBRON ACADEMY 53, SEACOAST CHRISTIAN 52: Janelle Bradish had 23 points and Olivia Brown hit clutch free throws late to help the Lumberjacks (5-5) hold off the Guardians (6-5) at Hebron.

Ruth Towne led the Guardians with 26 points.

 

MARSHWOOD 43, NOBLE 30: The Hawks (6-6) opened with a 16-2 run and defeated the Knights (2-10) at North Berwick.

Kayla Rackley had 10 points, including two 3-pointers, in the first quarter, and Jorden Mitchell scored four of her nine.

Megan Pelkey and Chandler Waterman each had eight points for Noble.

 

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 36, TRAIP ACADEMY 30: Gillian Foss and Anna Foss each scored 11 points to lead the Seagulls (5-8) over the Rangers (8-5) at Old Orchard Beach.

Selena Lorrey scored 10 for Traip.

 

CHEVERUS 56, BIDDEFORD 37: Morgan Cahill had 25 points to lead the Stags (10-2) over the Tigers (3-8) at Portland.

Britni Mikulanecz added 11 points and Mikayla Mayberry had seven assists and eight rebounds for Cheverus.

Keila Grigware paced Biddeford with 13 points.

 

FALMOUTH 44, YARMOUTH 31: Jess DiPhilippo had 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Yachtsmen (7-4) defeated the Clippers (1-12) at Falmouth.

Ashleigh Burton added 10 points for Falmouth.

Olivia Smith scored 20, including 12 of Yarmouth’s 14 fourth-quarter points.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 46, FREEPORT 39: Blair Haggett had 15 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Panthers (6-6) beat the Falcons (4-9) at Freeport.

Morgan Scully had 14 points and Eliza Gendron added eight for NYA.

Erin Hall scored 10 for Freeport.

 

BONNY EAGLE 48, PORTLAND 41: The Scots (6-6) took the lead for good in the third period on back-to-back baskets by Jessica MacDonald and beat the Bulldogs (3-9) at Standish.

MacDonald finished with 14 points and Alicia Hoyt added 10 for the Scots.

Rebecca Smith had 15 points for the Bulldogs and Nicolette Kapothanasis scored 12.

 

DEERING 56, WESTBROOK 38: Kayla Burchill scored 19 points to lead the Rams (12-0) over the Blue Blazes (3-8) at Westbrook.

Ella Ramonas and Marissa MacMillan scored six points apiece in the third quarter as the Rams pulled away with a 23-9 run.

Ciera Bellino and Ashlee Richards paced Westbrook with nine points each.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 38, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 26: Haylee Cote hit two 3-pointers and Maggie Chaplin also scored six points as Gray-New Gloucester (8-5) opened with a 19-1 run and beat the Raiders (4-9) at Fryeburg.

Cote finished with 17 points.

Kate Heggie scored nine for Fryeburg.

 

GREELY 32, CAPE ELIZABETH 29: Sarah Warnock had nine points to help the Rangers (10-2) down the Capers (7-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

LAKE REGION 52, POLAND 30: Tiana-Jo Carter scored 19 points with 19 rebounds and four blocks as the Lakers (10-2) handled the Knights (2-11) at Naples.

Hannah Cutting added 16 points and 14 rebounds for Lake Region, which closed with a 16-8 run.

Emily Bolduc had 12 points for Poland.

SANFORD 50, MASSABESIC 44: Heather LeBlanc scored eight of her 13 points during the fourth period as Sanford (9-3) outscored the Mustangs (3-8) 19-9 for a victory at Waterboro.

Taylor Flood added 12 points for the Redskins and Lindsey Nolette scored 10.

Morgan Reny had 17 points for Massabesic.

 

MCAULEY 48, KENNEBUNK 17: Rebecca Knight had 15 points and Alexa Coulombe had 13 points, eight rebounds, five assists and six blocks as the Lions (12-0) beat the Rams (0-12) at Portland.

RICHMOND 52, HYDE 31: Jamie Plummer scored 11 points to lead Richmond (12-0) over Hyde (4-9) at Richmond.

Sage Harris paced the Phoenix with 22 points.
