STANDISH – Dustin Cole finished with 17 points, including 3-pointers, and had three steals Friday as Bonny Eagle pulled away to a 70-43 victory against South Portland in a Southern Maine Activities Association boys’ basketball game.

Cole Libby and Steve Simonds added 15 points apiece for Bonny Eagle (12-3), which used a 16-6 second-quarter run to open a 32-18 halftime lead. Libby also had eight rebounds and Simonds collected six assists.

Tanner Hyland led South Portland (11-4) with 11 points, including three 3-pointers.

CHEVERUS 80, GORHAM 37: Peter Gwilym had nine of his 16 points during a 16-2 third-quarter run as the Stags (15-0) pulled away from the Rams (3-12) at Portland.

Louie DiStasio finished with 17 as Cheverus, up 30-22 at halftime, outscored Gorham 50-15 in the second half.

FALMOUTH 64, LAKE REGION 49: Jack Cooleen scored 18 points to lead the Yachtsmen (8-7) over Lake Region (4-12) at Falmouth.

Falmouth outscored the Lakers 25-2 in the second quarter to open a 36-18 halftime lead. Matt Packard scored 12 of his 15 points in the quarter, including three 3-pointers.

Matt Kingry finished with 11 points for the Yachtsmen.

PORTLAND 56, SANFORD 42: Mike Herrick scored 17 points for the Bulldogs (8-7), who pulled away from the Redskins (3-12) in the second half at Portland.

Matt McInnis added 12 points and Nate Smart had 11. Portland used a 16-11 run in the third quarter to break open a 21-21 halftime tie and take a 37-32 lead.

SCARBOROUGH 51, KENNEBUNK 45: Mike Wofford scored five of his eight points during a 12-2 third-quarter run as the Red Storm (8-8) wiped out a 32-27 halftime deficit and beat the Rams (4-11) at Scarborough.

Zach Bean led Scarborough with 21 points.

THORNTON ACADEMY 66, MASSABESIC 56: Andrew Shaw scored 18 points and Josh Woodward added 13 for the Trojans (12-3), who built a 48-38 lead entering the fourth quarter and held off the Mustangs (0-15) at Saco.

Ryan Dodge scored 27 points and Chris Gahm chipped in 10 for Massabesic.

WINDHAM 86, DEERING 82: Nolan Allen scored six of his 35 points in overtime and Tom McGowan made 3 of 4 foul shots down the stretch as the Eagles (7-8) edged the Rams (9-6) at Windham.

Jon Amabile paced the Rams with 35 points.

WELLS 66, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 53: Alex Furness had 38 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Warriors (10-6) past the Raiders (2-12) at Wells.

Wells led 29-20 at the half.

CAMDEN HILLS 84, MEDOMAK VALLEY 39: Joel Gabriele scored all of his 18 points in the first half, Keegan Pieri added 12 of his 17 and Tyler McFarland had 12 of his 14 as the Windjammers (16-0) opened a 56-19 lead against the Panthers (12-4) at Rockport.

LEWISTON 51, MT. ARARAT 46: Jake Dumas scored 11 points and Steven Patrie added 10 for the Blue Devils (7-8), who rallied from a 32-24 halftime deficit against the Eagles (10-6) at Topsham.

BOOTHBAY REGION 76, LIVERMORE FALLS 62: Dan Dickinson made back-to-back 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and finished with 29 points as the Seahawks (13-3) pulled away from the Andies (9-7) at Livermore Falls.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 70, POLAND 54: Adam Jensen scored 24 points, including 9 of 13 at the foul line, as the Patriots (10-6) defeated Poland (6-9) at Gray.

Gray-New Gloucester was 30 of 44 from the line. Josh Farynaz who finished with 15 points, was 10 of 17. Heath Martell added 19 points for the Patriots.

TRAIP ACADEMY 64, FREEPORT 57: Nathan Westman had 31 points and Mark McKenney added 12 for the Rangers (8-8), who overcame a 35-29 halftime deficit to beat the Falcons (0-16) at Freeport.

Kyle Strozewski scored 17 points for Freeport. Mitch Loeman and Josh Weirich added 14 apiece.

EDWARD LITTLE 67, MORSE 26: Bo Leary scored 12 points, and Brandon Giguere and Cody Nicholas added 10 apiece as the Red Eddies (15-1) cruised past the Shipbuilders (0-15) at Bath.
