SCARBOROUGH — A Zoning Board of Appeals meeting scheduled for Feb. 9 that would have taken up the Portland Museum of Art’s appeal of a building permit issued to property abutting the Winslow Homer house was postponed.

According to Planning Director Dan Bacon, not enough ZBA members were able to attend and the meeting had to be canceled.

The PMA is appealing the building permit, issued to the Doris Homer Trust property at 3 Winslow Homer Road, to maintain its easement claim over a septic system that is on the abutter’s property.

The issue will be taken up at the next ZBA meeting on March 9, when a parking lot proposed by Sprague Corp. at Scarborough Beach will also be discussed.
