The high school basketball regular season might have ended Friday night, but the floor of the Bangor Auditorium will certainly be busy today with high school cheerleading state championships.

Teams will try to put together that perfect routing beginning with the morning session, which features Classes B and C and starts at 10 a.m. The A and D competition is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Teams qualified for the state championships two weeks ago by placing in the top six in regional competition. Marshwood won the Western Class A regional and will be joined by Biddeford, Noble, Thornton, Scarborough and Bonny Eagle.

Medomak Valley won the title in Western Class B, Wells and Poland were also among the qualifiers from that region.
