2/14 at 10:52 p.m. Max Shukla-Mackie, 20, of Cumberland Avenue, Portland, was arrested on Gray Road by Sgt. Kevin Conger on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, consumption of liquor by a minor, sale/use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

2/15 at 3:22 p.m. Brian P. Beasley, 18, of Foreside Road, was arrested on Foreside Road by Sgt. Frank Soule and Officer Jeff Pardue on charges of assault and violating conditions of release.

Summonses

2/11 at 10:10 p.m. Andrew J. Feigleson, 22, of Burnell Drive, Yarmouth, was issued a summons on Bucknam Road by Officer Lucas Hallett on charges of possession of marijuana and attaching false plates.

2/12 at 11:42 p.m. Justin A. Hovey, 18, of Lisbon Falls, was issued a summons on Route 1 by Officer Kurt Fegan on a charge of operating after a suspension.

2/16 at 7:12 a.m. Loni Graiver, 37, of Gray Road, was issued a summons on Gray Road by Officer Alan Twombley on a charge of allowing a dog to be at large.

2/18 at noon Joseph Handlon, 32, of Longwoods Road, was issued a summons on Longwoods Road by Officer Lucas Hallett on a charge of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

Animal instinct

2/13 at 10:13 p.m. Sgt. Kevin Conger was sitting in his cruiser on Gray Road with his K9 when the dog started barking at a pedestrian. Conger reportedly got out to check on the pedestrian, who allegedly appeared to be intoxicated. When Conger patted the young man down, he allegedly discovered marijuana and several concealed knives. A K9 unit from the Portland Police Department arrived at the scene, having reportedly tracked the man from an attempted home burglary in Portland. Max Shukla-Mackie, 20, of Portland, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, consumption of liquor by a minor, sale/use of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was transported to Cumberland County Jail, where he was later charged with criminal trespass.

Flatbed theft

2/14 at 12:14 p.m. An employee of Jordan Equipment called police to report the theft of a flatbed trailer from the company’s parking lot during the weekend. The trailer was reportedly worth $7,200. The case is under investigation.

No cash back for stolen goods

2/16 at 2:22 p.m. A Walmart employee called police to report that a man had stolen a television sound bar worth $278 earlier in the day, then allegedly attempted to return it for cash later. The employee reportedly told police the store had not noticed the theft until the man attempted to return the item without a receipt. Then they went through the day’s video and discovered the theft. The man was identified as Joseph Handlon, 32, of Falmouth, and was issued a summons on a charge of theft.
