3/10 at 9:52 p.m. Joshua Paine, 29, of Shapleigh, was arrested on Even Keel Road by Officer Joshua Robinson on a warrant.

Grandparents scammed

3/7 at 2:29 p.m. A couple contacted police to report a scam. They had received a phone call from someone identified himself as their grandson. He said he was in Spain and needed money to get out of jail. The couple sent him $6,500. A few days later, they called their grandson to check on him and discovered he had never traveled to Spain or been in jail.

Suspicious pedestrian

3/9 at 2:47 p.m. A caller notified police of a man who allegedly took off his pants in the Delorme parking lot. According to the caller the man was wearing shorts under his pants. The caller also told police the man put on a vest and then stuffed unknown items into the vest and starting walking along Route 1. Police caught up with the man in Freeport and found that he was wearing a weighted vest to make his walk more challenging.
