PORTLAND — Alyssa Marchant scored five goals to propel St. Joseph’s College to a 13-8 women’s lacrosse victory over Husson University on Monday night at Deering High’s Memorial Field.
Megan Clement had five goals to lead Husson (3-2), which led 5-4 at intermission, but was outscored 9-3 by St. Joseph’s (3-0) in the second half.
Goalkeeper Kaleigh Morneau made 12 saves for Husson. Taylor Allison made 13 for St. Joe’s.
BASEBALL
BATES 7, HUSSON 5: The Bobcats (6-7) scored two runs in the top of the 10th and stamped out a rally by the Eagles (11-7) in the bottom of the inning to come away with a victory at Bangor.
Gordy Webb had two doubles and a pair of RBI for Bates.
Tom Crews hit a two-run homer for Husson.
