PORTLAND — The Reading Phillies continued to pound Portland Sea Dogs pitching, driving three home runs among their 11 exta-base hits in a 13-5 victory before  4,036 at Hadlock Field today.

Center fielder and leadoff hitter Chris Frey had four hits, including two doubles and a home run, and drove in four runs.

Boston Red Sox pitching prospect Stolmy Pimentel lasted only three innings in his Double-A debut, giving up five runs. He only threw 38 of his 69 pitches for strikes.

He gave up four runs in the first. With one out, Harold Garcia hit a home run into the right-field pavillion seats. After the second out, Matt Rizzotti doubled and two walks loaded  the bases. Derrick Mitchell hit an infield single – shortstop Ryan Dent making a diving stop in the hole to prevent more than one run scoring.

Then Tim Kennelly hit a slow chopper up the middle to drive in two.

Portland got to within 6-3 in the fourth on an RBI doulbe by Oscar Tejeda and a two-run home run by Will Middlebrooks, who had four of Portland’s 10 hits and drove in three runs.
