SCARBOROUGH — A second shipment of liquidated furniture from Maine Cottage Furniture hit the floor this morning at Marden’s Surplus and Salvage on Payne Road.
Marden’s on Friday received the first load of furniture from the upscale, Yarmouth-based store that abruptly closed within the past couple of months. Its stores in Charleston, S.C., and Palm Beach, Fla., also closed.
KeyBank, which has a lien on the assets, is liquidating them.
Carol and Peter Bass opened Maine Cottage Furniture in 1988 and have since divorced.
