FALMOUTH – Willy Sipperly scored five of his six goals in the first half Wednesday as Falmouth took command on the way to a 17-6 victory against Waynflete in a schoolboy lacrosse game.

Mitch Tapley added three goals and four assists, and Zach Alexander finished with three goals for Falmouth (2-0), which had seven players score against the Flyers (2-1).

 

GORHAM 13, BIDDEFORD 5: Aaron LaPorte scored two goals and tied a school record with four assists for the Rams (2-1), who rallied in the second half to defeat Biddeford (1-2) at Gorham.

Trailing 3-2 at halftime, LaPorte sparked the second-half rally with a goal and all four of his assists. Tyler Rankina and Brad Turnbaugh each finished with three goals for the Rams.

Nate Halloran had 11 saves for Gorham.

WESTBROOK 10, WINDHAM 8: Derrick Payne scored four goals for the Blue Blazes (2-2), who used an 8-2 run in the second half to beat the Eagles (0-2) at Windham.

Daniel St. Peter had three goals and an assist, and Sam Blauvelt finished with 24 saves for Windham.

 

MASSABESIC 8, SOUTH PORTLAND 7: Jordan Levesque had three goals and one assist for the Mustangs (2-0), who built a 6-4 lead entering the fourth quarter and held off the Red Riots (1-3) at Waterboro.

Jacob Desrosiers added two goals and one assist, and Pat Wyman finished with one goal and two assists for Massabesic.

Brandon Cleary scored three goals and Mike Salvatore added two for South Portland.

 

PORTLAND 8, KENNEBUNK 7: Max Pierter, Caleb Kenney and Jason Webster scored two goals apiece for the Bulldogs (3-0), who held off Kennebunk (1-1) at Portland.

Portland led 4-1 after one quarter and 6-2 at halftime. The Rams made it 6-6 in the third quarter before the Bulldogs opened an 8-6 lead.

Ryan Jurgelevich made 13 saves for Portland. Ben Bath had 16 for Kennebunk.

MARSHWOOD 8, BONNY EAGLE 1: Justin Hockney scored three goals, and Jeff Graunke had two goals and two assists as the Hawks (1-1) downed the Scots (0-4) at Standish.

Andrew Rollins added a goal and an assist for Marshwood.

 

SCARBOROUGH 14, NOBLE 2: Peter Moore collected three goals and two assists, and Brett Leighton added one goal and two assists to lead the Red Storm (3-0) over the Knights (0-4) at Scarborough.

Mikyle Ricker scored both goals for Noble, which trailed 9-2 at halftime.

LEWISTON 15, BRUNSWICK 1: Sam Cloutier had five goals and two assists for the Blue Devils (3-0), who downed the Dragons (1-2) at Lewiston.

 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 10, GREELY 9: Matt Kibler scored from Oliver Silverson after two minutes of the third overtime to lift the Panthers (1-1) over Greely (1-1) at Yarmouth.

Nick Rotondi of Greely scored midway through the fourth quarter to tie it.

 

YARMOUTH 9, YORK 4: Bart Gallagher scored three goals as the Clippers (2-0) beat York (1-1) at Yarmouth.

Kyle Groves and Matt Murphy added two goals each, and Sam Torres had three assists for Yarmouth.
