SCARBOROUGH – Freshman Ben Greenberg pitched the second consecutive no-hitter for Scarborough in a 5-0 victory against Massabesic in a Telegram League baseball game Thursday.

Ben Wessel pitched a no-hitter Tuesday at Sanford.

Greenberg (2-0) struck out eight and walked one.

Ryan Mancini hit an RBI triple in the first inning, and walked, stole second and scored on a single by Wessel in the third for the Red Storm (5-1) against the Mustangs (0-6).

Joe Viola scored from second base on a sacrifice fly by Joe Cronin in the fourth.

KENNEBUNK 4, PORTLAND 3: Ned Richard had a pair of hits, including a three-run homer in the first inning, as the Rams (1-5) beat the Bulldogs (3-3) at Kennebunk.

Ethan Drigotas scored what proved to be the winning run on a single by Taylor Landry in the fifth.

Nate Smart hit a two-run single as part of a three-run seventh for Portland.

 

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 9, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 2: Jordan Haskell went 4 for 4 and drove in five runs to lead the Panthers (2-1) over Old Orchard Beach (3-2) at Yarmouth.

Haskell hit a solo homer in the third inning and added a pair of doubles.

Ryan Salerno of NYA struck out eight, walked four and allowed five hits.

 

WESTBROOK 8, BONNY EAGLE 0: Trevor Bates hit a three-run homer in the second inning, and Scott Heath pitched a four-hitter with seven strikeouts to earn his third shutout of the season as the Blue Blazes (6-0) rolled past Bonny Eagle (1-5) at Westbrook.

Zach and Jake Gardiner each knocked in one run on two hits.

 

GREELY 15, FREEPORT 3: Pete Stauber was 3 for 3 with a two-run homer and three runs to help the Rangers (5-1) down the Falcons (1-5) in six innings at Freeport.

Bailey Train went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBI, and Ben Shain was 2 for 2 with a double and two RBI for Greely.

Luke Lamagna was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI for Freeport.

 

BIDDEFORD 7, THORNTON ACADEMY 6: Nick Gagne sent the game into extra innings with an RBI single in the seventh, then hit an RBI double in the ninth as Biddeford (5-1) nipped Thornton Academy (3-3) at Saco.

Winning pitcher Pat Wilson gave the Tigers a 6-5 lead in the ninth with an RBI single, then scored on Gagne’s double.

In the bottom of the inning, Jeff Gelinas of Thornton drove in a run with a one-out single, but Wilson picked off a runner at third base and struck out the final batter.

CHEVERUS 7, SOUTH PORTLAND 1: Harry Ridge held the Red Riots (4-2) to an unearned run on four hits to lead the Stags (5-1) at South Portland.

Ridge struck out five and walked two.

Nick Melville had an RBI single and scored twice, Jack Bushey added a two-run single and Tyler Flaherty was 2 for 3 with a double for Cheverus.

 

WINDHAM 12, NOBLE 6: Drew Gagnon hit a three-run triple in the fourth inning to help Windham (3-3) defeat Noble (1-5) at North Berwick.

Rylie Williamson had two triples and scored twice, and Matt McLean and Micah Sawyer both homered.

Jake Emard homered for the Knights.

 

WELLS 9, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 2: The Warriors (5-1) scored six runs in the fifth inning and went on to beat the Raiders (1-5) at Wells.

Kevin Woods hit a two-run triple, Paul McDonough, who had three hits, hit an RBI single and Cole Boston drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

MARSHWOOD 12, GORHAM 7: Tyler Pratt had three hits and four RBI as the Hawks (5-1) defeated the Rams (1-5) at South Berwick.

Pratt put the Hawks ahead 8-6 with a three-run homer in the fifth inning. Jack Verrill had two hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in three runs.

WAYNFLETE 15, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Zander Majercik had seven goals and an assist as the Flyers (4-1) handled the Raiders (0-5) at Fryeburg.

Chris Burke had three goals and four assists, and Luke Wendland added a goal and two assists. Will Hallett made five saves for the shutout.

 

LEWISTON 13, OXFORD HILLS 6: Evan Carrier and Sam Cloutier scored three goals each to lead the Blue Devils (4-1) over Oxford Hills (1-4) at Lewiston.
