AUGUSTA — The Maine Senate was scheduled this morning to take up an ambitious GOP health insurance reform bill, L.D. 1333.
However, Senate leaders have postponed the debate until 4:30 p.m. today to give lawmakers time to draft proposed amendments and discuss the amendments in party caucuses prior to the vote.
Lawmakers are declining to discuss the proposals. Some Democrats say they will support the legislation if the amendments are approved.
