FALMOUTH – Kelsey Freedman pitched a four-hitter with three walks and nine strikeouts Friday to lead Falmouth to a 4-3 victory against Yarmouth in a Western Maine Conference softball game.

Falmouth (7-2) had RBI triples from Lauren O’Donnell and Jessie L’Heureux.

L’Heureux scored on an error to give the Yachtsmen a 3-1 lead in the fifth inning. Stephanie Gramse reached on a single in the sixth and scored on a wild pitch to give Falmouth a run it needed to hold off the Clippers (8-2), who scored two in the seventh. 

BONNY EAGLE 2, GORHAM 1: Danielle Day doubled home the winning run in the seventh inning as the Scots (4-5) defeated the Rams (4-5) at Gorham.

Jessica Sullivan, who scored the winner, had two hits.

Scots pitcher Allie Pike struck out four with one walk.

Erin Smith scored for Gorham after hitting a double. 

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 4, LAKE REGION 0: Rachel Edson tripled, then scored the first run on an overthrow in the fourth inning as Gray-New Gloucester (5-5) shut out Lake Region (3-6) at Naples.

Kellie Sanborn drove in one and Alicia Valente knocked in two others with singles in the fifth.

Maggie Chaplin struck out five, gave up six hits and hit a batter for the shutout.

Allison Clark of the Lakers allowed seven hits, struck out five and walked none. 

MCAULEY 5, MARSHWOOD 1: The Lions (9-0) scored five runs in the 10th inning to end an upset bid by Marshwood (3-7) at South Berwick.

Sam Libby scored the go-ahead run on a throwing error, and McAuley added two runs on another throwing error and two on groundouts.

Gabby Townsend of McAuley allowed seven hits with 13 strikeouts and four walks. Nicole Harvey of Marshwood gave up four hits, struck out six and walked six. 

MASSABESIC 12, CHEVERUS 3: Dani Egan had three RBI and struck out eight as the Mustangs (3-6) beat the Stags (1-9) at Waterboro.

Becca DeSimone, Kailyn Lucier and Delani O’Connell each drove in two for Massabesic.

Brittany Bell homered for Cheverus. 

NOBLE 3, SANFORD 1: Molly Pritchett had a two-run single in the fourth inning as the Knights (5-5) edged the Redskins (5-4) at North Berwick.

Amber Kelly of Noble struck out nine and walked one.

Sam Adams struck out seven for Sanford. 

SACOPEE VALLEY 19, TRAIP ACADEMY 2: Amanda Cressey went 4 for 4 with three RBI and three runs to lead Sacopee Valley (8-1) over Traip Academy (0-8) in five innings at South Hiram.

Chelsea Burnell and Liz Moulton also drove in three runs apiece for the Hawks.

Ashley Pingree of Sacopee struck out eight and allowed three hits. 

SCARBOROUGH 21, PORTLAND 0: Alyssa Williamson homered and drove in three as the Red Storm (9-0) cruised past the Bulldogs (0-9) in five innings at Scarborough.

Hannah Freeman added three hits and four RBI, and Erin Giles struck out 11 without a walk. 

DEERING 3, WESTBROOK 1: Jen Lynch and Chelsea Saucier scored on errors in the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie as Deering (2-7) beat the Blue Blazes (3-6) at Westbrook.

Kaylee Wheeler finished with a triple and two singles, and also struck out one and walked five in a five-hitter.

Left fielder Nicole Mason of the Rams made spectacular catches to end the fifth and seventh innings with runners in scoring position.

Kayla Tibbetts of Westbrook struck out six, gave up six hits and walked one. 

MEDOMAK VALLEY 3, OAK HILL 2: Vanessa Davis hit a two-run single in the second inning and the Panthers (9-0) went on to beat the Raiders (6-3) at Wales.

Desiree Benner threw a three-hitter and struck out eight for Medomak.

Kortini Michaud hit a two-run single for Oak Hill in the sixth. 

KENNEBUNK 14, WINDHAM 2: Hannah King hit two homers and drove in five runs in a 15-hit offense as the Rams (6-2) beat the Eagles (2-8) in six innings at Windham.

Maddie Kasprzak and Rachel Magalski had three hits apiece for the Rams. Magalski drove in two runs and Kasprzak added one RBI.

Haley Plante and Logan Genest had two hits each for Windham. 

CAPE ELIZABETH 17, YORK 0: Emmy Ham doubled twice, scored two runs and knocked in two as Cape Elizabeth (6-3) shut out the Wildcats (1-9) in five innings at York.

The Capers scored eight runs in the first inning and six in the second.

Allie Johnson went 3 for 4 with one RBI and two runs. 

WINTHROP 12, LISBON 10: The Ramblers (2-5) totaled 11 runs in three innings and beat Lisbon (6-3) at Winthrop.

In the bottom of the sixth, Randi Dennett hit an RBI double and Kat Ouellette added a two-run triple. Dennett finished with two doubles, a single and four RBI for Winthrop.

Ouellette had a triple, a single and two RBI, and Meg Scully added two singles and an RBI.

Haley Eck had two singles and an RBI for Lisbon.

EDWARD LITTLE 4, CONY 3: Emily Chario hit a two-run single in the sixth inning to lift the Eddies (5-5) over Cony (7-3) at Augusta.

Melissa Paione added a home run for Edward Little.

Nicole Rugan and Laina Younes each had an RBI single for Cony.

PORTLAND 16, CAMDEN HILLS 3: Catherine Flaherty and Raechel Allen scored four goals apiece to lead the Bulldogs (4-4) past the Windjammers (0-8) at Rockport.

Drew Barry added three goals for Portland.

CAPE ELIZABETH 11, MASSABESIC 7: Talley Perkins and Anna Darling each collected three goals and one assist to lead the Capers (4-2) over the Mustangs (3-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Paris Bethel added two goals and one assist, and Lauren Steidl scored twice for Cape.

Heather Everett scored three goals for Massabesic. 

GORHAM 19, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 5: Kali St. Germain finished with three goals and two assists to lead the Rams (8-0) over the Falcons (3-5) at Gorham.

Haley Perkins added four goals and Mia Rapolla scored three for the Rams.

Ayla Allen scored five goals for Mountain Valley.

MORSE 17, WESTBROOK 11: Lindsay Watts had four goals and four assists for the Shipbuilders (5-2), who scored the final five goals against the Blue Blazes (2-6) at Bath.

Tori Field added five goals and two assists, and Christina Stuart collected three goals and an assist for Morse.

Elizabeth Royce scored three goals, and Sarah Howard had two goals and an assist for Westbrook. 

SANFORD 16, EDWARD LITTLE 11: Brooke Peterson had five goals and an assist and Haley Nordmann scored four times as the Redskins (4-3) beat the Red Eddies (1-6) at Auburn.

Janelle Cannon and Stacy Livingston added two goals apiece for Sanford.

Saydi Voisine scored four goals and Gabby LaPerriere added three for Edward Little.

Sanford goalie Leah Gervais made 15 saves.
