CONCORD, N.H. — The chief justices of seven northeast states are convening in New Hampshire to compare budget woes and hear from litigants who have suffered from cuts to the courts.

The top judges from the New England states and New York will testify today at an American Bar Association forum at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.

The hearing is being coordinated by the ABA’s Task Force on Preservation of the Justice System, which held its first hearing in Atlanta in February. Concord will be its second hearing.

Litigants who have suffered delays in a child lead paint poisoning case and in a child custody case are slated to testify.

The forum is open to the public.
