PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded more than $1.1 million in grants for improvements at Maine airports in Presque Isle and Rangeley.
U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud said the Northern Maine Regional Airport in Presque Isle is getting nearly $638,000 for an aircraft rescue and firefighting vehicle and another $170,000 for snow-removal equipment.
The Stephen A. Bean Municipal Airport in Rangeley is getting $350,000 to construct a building to protect snow-removal equipment in adverse conditions.
