The Cumberland County Extension Association is looking for people to serve on its board of directors.

The association helps support the University of Maine Cooperative Extension educational programs in Cumberland County for 4-H and youth development, agriculture and horticulture, natural resources, family living, food safety and nutrition. It also oversees the county portion of the association’s budget.

The board of as many as 28 volunteers meets once a month. Board members can serve three two-year terms beginning in September.

Community-minded people from all over Cumberland County who have an interest, knowledge and/or experience with UMaine Extension are urged to contact Andrea Herr at 781-6099, 1-800-287-1471 or andrea.herr@maine.edu to request an information packet.
