TREVETT — Mathias Fine Art presents work by Brenda Bettinson, Michael Culver and other gallery artists through Aug. 27. Gallery hours are noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.

The show is titled “Reflections,” and it also includes work by Brigitte Keller and Paul Feyling. The group of four artists created work specifically for the theme of the show.

Culver, former director of the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, is showing a group of photographs. He has been taking photos for 30 years, but this exhibition marks the first time he has shown them.

Keller creates abstract, geometric paintings with a meditative quality.

Feyling, a photographer and filmmaker, is fascinated by the sky above the Maine coast. His work pushes color values to their extreme.

Bettinson offers four paintings, including “Narcissus I” and “Narcissus II.” Both feature reflections of human faces and refer to the myth of Narcissus, the adolescent who fell in love with his own reflection.

The gallery is at 10 Mathias Drive on Barter’s Island. For information, call 633-7404.
