YARMOUTH – OA-Yarmouth jumped to a 4-1 lead and held off Cumberland for a 5-3 victory Wednesday in a Junior Legion tournament play-in game.

Calvin Cooper hit a two-run triple in the first inning and Caleb Uhl added an RBI triple in the second for OA-Yarmouth (13-6) against Cumberland (6-14).

FIRST TITLE 5, SMITH-TOBEY 3: Cam McLain hit a two-run double and Chandler Todd added a three-run double as First Title (11-9) took a 5-0 lead in the first and held off Smith-Tobey in a play-in game at Bath.

FAYETTE-STAPLES 4, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 3: Brandon Briggs struck out 10 in six innings and had two hits to lead Fayette-Staples (10-9) to a play-in game win at Gray-New Gloucester (9-10).

LEBANON 4, LIBBY-MITCHELL 2: Caleb Chambers scored the winning run on a single by Sean Adams as Lebanon (6-13) scored twice in the eighth inning to edge Libby-Mitchell (7-12) in a play-in game at Scarborough.


PATRIOT INSURANCE 6, AERO HEATING 5: Spike Einsiedler had three hits, including a two-run single during a five-run third inning to lead Patriot (13-5-1) past Aero Heating & Ventilating (9-11) at Standish.


ANDY VALLEY EAST 8, GORHAM 0: Ben Bernier pitched a three-hitter to lead Andy Valley East to a win in the final of the 11-and-under state tournament at Mechanic Falls.
