PORTLAND — The Maine League of Young Voters’ political action committee will hold a mayoral candidates’ forum on Sept. 8.
The organization plans to have groups of three to five candidates answer questions from the audience, allowing for more interaction among the candidates, the MLYV said. There are currently 19 people running for mayor in Portland.
The group said it expects leaders from community and neighborhood associations to take part in the moderated Q&A sessions.
The event will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at Peloton Labs, 795 Congress St.
