FRYEBURG — A local precision machine services company has been acquired by an international energy services firm.
Hunting PLC announced Monday it has acquired Dearborn Precision Tubular Products Inc. of Fryeburg. Dearborn manufactures high precision tubular and rotating metal components for customers in the oil and gas sector who require products with exacting tolerances and unique configurations.
Established in 1977, Dearborn employes about 225 workers. Dearborn’s president, Bill Findeisen, will remain with the company.
Hunting PLC is a fully listed public company traded on the London Stock Exchange. It maintains a corporate office in Houston but is headquartered in London.
