PORTLAND – Freshman Carli Legere scored her first varsity goal off a rebound to help Thornton Academy down McAuley 3-0 in a Southern Maine Activities Association field hockey game Saturday.

Morgan Ouellette-Foss scored first for Thornton (3-1) and Michele Banville added a goal on a penalty stroke.

Jamie Lacasse made 28 saves for McAuley (1-3).

BELFAST 3, CAMDEN HILLS 0: Brooklyn Curry scored in each half as the Lions (2-0-1) shut out Camden Hills (2-2) at Belfast.

Curry converted a penalty stroke and Maddy Cummings scored from Kari Osgood for a 2-0 halftime lead. Curry scored from Kristi Osgood in the second half.

BOOTHBAY REGION 3, DIRIGO 2: Freshman Taylor Walby’s first varsity goal turned out to be the winner as the Seahawks (2-0) edged the Cougars (0-3) at Dixfield.

FREEPORT 5, POLAND 1: Abigail Smith had two goals and an assist, and Katie Turner scored twice to lead the Falcons (3-0) past the Knights (0-3) at Freeport.

Alissa Gosselin scored for Poland. 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 7, WELLS 0: Skye Dole scored three goals in her first varsity game as the Raiders (3-1) beat the Warriors (0-4) at Fryeburg.

Makayla Frost, Ellie Jones, Sage Hennessy and Christina DiPietro also scored.

KENNEBUNK 3, WINDHAM 2: Taylor Radomski scored twice as the Rams (2-2) got past the Eagles (1-3) at Kennebunk.

Jenn Davis added a goal and an assist for Kennebunk.

MARSHWOOD 6, BONNY EAGLE 0: Hailey Bruno-Moulton scored the first two goals, then assisted on Ashley Hickey’s goal as the Hawks (3-1) opened a 3-0 halftime lead against the Scots (0-2-1) at Standish.

Emily Osborne, who assisted on both of Bruno-Moulton’s goals, opened the second-half scoring from Natalia Bachelder. Bachelder and Lindsey Poirier added unassisted goals.

WESTBROOK 2, GORHAM 0: Sarah Hopkins scored from Micaela LeBeau midway through the first half to lift the Blue Blazes (3-1) over the Rams (0-3-1) at Gorham.

LeBeau made it 2-0 from Katie Conley early in the second half.

MASSABESIC 4, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Jackie Guillemette scored twice as the Mustangs (3-0) defeated the Red Riots (0-4) at Waterboro.

Sam Emmons and Alex Staples also scored.

BRUNSWICK 0, MT. ARARAT 0: Raven Demasi of Mt. Ararat (0-1-2) and Syndey Escoe of Brunswick (0-3-1) each made seven saves at Topsham.

SANFORD 4, NOBLE 0: Janelle Cannon had a goal and an assist as the Redskins (2-0) handled the Knights (0-2) at North Berwick.

Caroline L’Heureux, Natalie Ledue and Libby Griffin also scored.

SCARBOROUGH 3, PORTLAND 0: Karli-Ann Gilbert, Lindsay Dobecki and Abby Walker scored as the Red Storm (4-0) shut out the Bulldogs (1-3) at Portland.

Shannon Hicks had three saves for the shutout.

SANFORD 5, MCAULEY 0: Allison Legere had two goals and an assist to lead the Redskins (2-0) past McAuley (0-2) at Sanford. Morgan Fogg, Abbi White and Rachel Fink also scored.

KENNEBUNK 3, LAKE REGION 2: Sarah Haws served the final six points of the match as the Rams (2-2) won the deciding set 15-5 to edge the Lakers (0-3) at Kennebunk.
