AUGUSTA – Maine Secretary of State Charlie Summers has scheduled an afternoon press conference today to announce the results of his investigation of potential voter fraud in Maine.

Summers held a press conference earlier this year to say he was looking into allegations from a Bureau of Motor Vehicles staffer who raised concerns that years ago she suspected non-citizens of registering to vote.

He will also be sharing the results of an investigation of “questionable voter activity presented by (Maine) GOP Chairman Charlie Webster,” according to a release.

Webster, also earlier this year, presented a list of 206 names of college students he said were concurrently registered to vote in two different states and alleged they may have voted twice in the same election.

Summers’ announcement is scheduled for 2 p.m. at his office in Augusta.
