LIVERMORE FALLS — Police in the Maine town of Livermore Falls are investigating an early morning stabbing.

Livermore Falls Police Lt. Thomas Gould says a 23-year-old man who was found wandering on Main Street in Jay early Saturday told police he had been jumped and stabbed near a Depot Street bar in Livermore Falls.

Gould says the victim was intoxicated and refused to provide details of the incident other than the location.

The man was hospitalized. His name and condition were not released.

Gould tells the Sun Journal police have determined that no one at the bar was involved.
