BANGOR — A Florida couple has been sentenced to more than four years in prison for distributing oxycodone through the mail to people in Maine.
Thirty-five-year-old Raymond Romero and 31-year-old Vashti Ramcharitar, of West Melbourne, Fla., were sentenced to 51 months today in U.S. District Court in Bangor for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute oxycodone.
Court records show that the pair last year illegally mailed over 500 oxycodone tablets from Florida to Maine, where they were distributed to customers in Waldo County.
