Historical society compiling veterans list for ceremony
The New Gloucester Historical Society is looking for names of all veterans and active military that meet one of the following requirements:
• Veterans who were residents of New Gloucester at the time they entered the military.
• Veterans who have moved to New Gloucester and who are actively serving in the military.
There will be a ceremony on Nov. 5 to honor those who serve or have served.
Veterans and families can submit the information to the New Gloucester Historical Society, P.O. Box 531, New Gloucester, ME 04260.

Got a boat you can donate? Mentoring program in need
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Maine is looking for boat donations to help support its mentoring programs.
Boats can be donated and will be picked up where they are currently being kept, if usable. Donors may be eligible for a tax deduction.
