OLD ORCHARD BEACH – Abby Dubois scored five minutes into the game and added two second-half goals Thursday to lead Old Orchard Beach to a 5-0 victory against North Yarmouth Academy in a Western Maine Conference schoolgirl soccer game.

Amy Twohig and Olivia Dubois also scored, and Jaclyn MacDonald made two saves for the shutout for the Seagulls (4-4).

Scout Fischman finished with 15 saves for NYA (1-7).

LISBON 6, CARRABEC 2: Leah Poirier had a goal and an assist in the Cobras’ loss at North Anson.

Makayla Leeman added a goal and Adrianna Cossaboom had an assist for Carrabec.

Brooke Lawrence and Olivia Bulgin each had two goals for Lisbon.

MARANACOOK 2, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: The Black Bears (5-2-1) scored two first-half goals and Elizabeth DeAngelo made 10 saves to earn the shutout at Readfield.

Lillie McLaughlin and Sage Hyland scored.

MT. ARARAT 2, MESSALONSKEE 0: Haley Michaud scored two first-half goals to carry Mt. Ararat past Messalonskee (2-8) at Oakland.

Sydni Clark assisted on the second goal and Shauna Williams made eight saves for Mt. Ararat.

Shawna Oliver finished with eight saves for Messalonskee.

HALL-DALE 4, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Carylanne Wolfington had two goals, and Kristina Buck had a goal and an assist as the Bulldogs (6-4) beat the Phoenix (5-5) at Farmingdale.

Maura Stottler added a goal and Shelby McGibney had an assist for Hall-Dale. Olivia Maynard made six saves for the Bulldogs.

Cassie Couture and Natalie Bolduc scored for Spruce Mountain.

MAINE CENTRAL INSTITUTE 2, WINSLOW 1: Natasha Wallace scored with 3:14 left in the first overtime to lift Maine Central Institute (4-5) over Winslow (2-5-1) at Pittsfield.

Alliyah Veilleux gave Winslow a 1-0 lead from Autumn Poulin with 34:17 left in the first half. Nine minutes later, Paula Arias connected on a direct kick to tie it.

Alana Oliver made 12 saves for MCI before leaving with an injury. Rheanna Lawn made two saves the rest of the way. Elizabeth Ferry recorded 10 saves for the Black Raiders.

MT. ABRAM 4, WINTHROP 0: Sam Werzanski scored twice and Ashley Shurtleff had two assists as the Roadrunners (6-3-1) beat Winthrop (0-9) at Salem.

Emma Houston and Ivy Mitman also scored, Jill Howard added an assist, and Allie Lopez and Staci Plog combined for three saves for Mt. Abram.

Lily Beauregard had 11 saves for Winthrop.

BOYS’ SOCCER

GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 2, A.R. GOULD 1: Than Peterson and Adam Simpson scored in the second half as the Lions (4-4) edged the Bears (4-4) at South Portland.

James Perkins stopped five shots for Greater Portland Christian.

Moses Losuk had a goal and Eric Sawyer made 11 saves for A.R. Gould.

FIELD HOCKEY

FALMOUTH 10, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Leika Scott scored four times and Emma Perron added two goals as the Yachtsmen (5-4-1) cruised past the Patriots (0-9-1) at Falmouth.

Hillary Nash made two saves for the shutout.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 7, OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1: Katherine Millett scored four goals, three in the first half, as the Panthers (7-3) downed the Seagulls (2-7) at Old Orchard Beach.

Olivia Madore added a goal and an assist for the Panthers, who led 4-0 at halftime. NYA also got goals from Marina Poole and Carly Lappas.

Mackenzie Rague scored and Colleen Dyer finished with 30 saves for Old Orchard.

CONY 4, EDWARD LITTLE 1: Chelsea Begin scored three goals, and Nicole Rugan had a goal and an assist as Cony (6-3-1) stopped Edward Little (4-4-1) at Augusta.

Begin has six goals in her last two games. Heather Leet also had an assist and Kevi Rodrigue made four saves for the Rams.

Jordan Tate scored with 4:20 left and Amanda Williams made eight saves for the Red Eddies.

MT. VIEW 1, GARDINER 1: Jenna Moore scored for the Tigers (5-2-2) from Olivia Reny to tie the game with 6:56 left in regulation against Mt. View (8-2-1) at Gardiner.

Mt. View broke a scoreless tie when Andrea Smith scored from Brittany Massesa on a corner with 22:46 left in the second half.

Olivia Philbrook finished with 27 saves for Gardiner. Abbie Charrier stopped nine shots for Mt. View.

MT. BLUE 3, MARANACOOK 0: Meghan Bullen had a goal and two assists as the Cougars (3-6-1) beat the Black Bears (0-10-1) at Readfield.

LEAVITT 2, WATERVILLE 1: Casey Fichter and Cheryl Fichter scored for the Hornets (6-3), who took a 2-0 lead and held off the Purple Panthers (7-4) at Waterville.

WINSLOW 2, CAMDEN HILLS 1: Christine Parrilli’s goal with 10:30 remaining carried the Black Raiders (9-2) past Camden Hills (6-5) at Winslow.

Allie LeClair scored off of a rebound to give Winslow a 1-0 lead before Taylor Porter tied it off a penalty corner.

Alexis Lachance made five saves for Winslow. Zia Sulick posted 10 stops for Camden Hills.

GIRLS’ HOCKEY

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY: Mike Hebert of Greene was hired as the Panthers’ girls’ hockey coach.

Hebert has more than 10 years of coaching experience, most recently as one of the coaches for the Portland Junior Pirates under-19 girls’ travel team.
