PORTLAND – Goalie Shawn Shannon stopped a breakaway with two minutes left in overtime to help South Portland preserve a 1-1 tie against Cheverus in an SMAA boys’ soccer game Thursday night.

Jason Rubinoff scored midway through the first half to give the Stags (7-2-1) the lead. Nem Kaurin answered for the Red Riots (6-2-2) one minute into the second half.

Shannon stopped eight shots, and Charlie Mull made four saves for Cheverus.

CAPE ELIZABETH 3, POLAND 0: James Barlow had two goals and Macklin Sweeney scored the other as the Capers (6-3-2) defeated the Knights (2-7) at Cape Elizabeth.

Brett Parker needed one save for the shutout. Dylan Douglass stopped 18 shots for Poland.

GORHAM 6, MARSHWOOD 3: Mike Lubelczyk and Chandler Reagan each scored twice for the Rams (7-2), who took a 4-1 halftime lead against the visiting Hawks (7-4).

Connor Reagan added a goal and two assists for Gorham. Chris Hardy also scored.

Jeff Graunke, Alex McLean and Ryder Schumacher had goals for Marshwood.

YARMOUTH 2, NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 0: David Murphy and Ryan Maguire scored first-half goals to lift the Clippers (9-2-1) over the visiting Panthers (5-5-2).

Wyatt Jackson and Sam Torres had assists and Chris Knaub made two saves for the shutout.

KENNEBUNK 1, PORTLAND 1: Mike Ottman scored from John Whalen with 36 seconds left to help the Rams (4-3-3) tie the visiting Bulldogs (8-1-2).

Alain Tuyishime scored from Tim Rovnak in the first half for the Bulldogs.

John Burns made six saves in regulation and Pip Butterfield stopped two shots in overtime for Kennebunk. Chip Weber made six saves for Portland.

NOBLE 3, BONNY EAGLE 0: Nate Brown and Jake Emard scored first-half goals and Brandon Vigneault added one in the second as the Knights (4-7) beat the Scots (2-7) at North Berwick.

Drew Martin earned his first shutout. Gordon Potter, Josh Emard and Sean Jackson had assists.

THORNTON ACADEMY 2, WESTBROOK 2: Matt LeBlanc scored twice for the Golden Trojans (4-5-2) and Owen Gillis and Dylan Gillis scored for the Blue Blazes (2-6-2) in a tie at Saco.

FALMOUTH 2, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 1: Andy Murry scored twice to lead the Yachtsmen (7-1-1) past the Patriots (4-6-1) at Falmouth.

Will D’Agostino stopped two shots for Falmouth. Spencer Harriman stopped six for Gray-New Gloucester.

GREELY 9, LAKE REGION 0: Gavin Collins and Aidan Black each scored twice to lead the Rangers (5-5-1) past the Lakers (0-9) at Naples.

Matt Ricker added a goal and an assist. Dakota Bush made 24 saves for Lake Region.

WINDHAM 1, DEERING 0: Eric Gumaer scored on a scramble in front with a minute left in the second overtime to give Windham (8-2) a win over visiting Deering (4-6).

Dana King made five saves for the shutout. Jamie Gullbrand stopped six shots for the Rams.

MORSE 2, LEAVITT 1: Cory Snyder scored with 40 seconds remaining to lift the Shipbuilders (6-3-1) over the Hornets (2-7-1) at Bath.

Aaron Lapointe put Morse ahead in the first minute.

Zach Hudner drew Leavitt even with 25 minutes left in the second.
