Cheverus High School boys’ basketball coach Bob Brown leads a class of 13 inductees into the Hall of Honors of the Maine Sports Legends on Sunday.

Jim Beaudry, the former athletic director at St. Francis College before it became the University of New England and the late Faith Littlefield whose Bonny Eagle field hockey teams won seven state titles are also in the class. Other inductees include the late Wally Donovan, whose Waterville High School basketball teams won 67 straight games in the early 1940s and Bill Fletcher, a former basketball coach at Falmouth High School and longtime educator in other parts of Maine. He was the longtime director of the Eastern Maine basketball tournament at the Bangor Auditorium.

Bob Lahey Jr., a founding father of the Maine Interscholastic Athletic Directors Association, Ed Guiski, longtime basketball coach at Dexter High, Joe Linscott, a longtime coach and supporter of Augusta youth sports are among the inductees. Donald Graves, Emmett Porter, Frank Tapley, Francis Purnell and Terry Spurling, all with ties to the Central Aroostook sports scene complete the class.

The induction will take place at the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville beginning with a reception at noon.
